Buga-Buga came about from my frustration, as a pregnant woman and mother, with the lack of baby and children’s items available in the Park City area. Like most of us that live in Summit and Wasatch Counties, I prefer not to have to travel to Salt Lake City if I can help it. Plus, I was not satisfied with the selection available there. I could not believe that there was not a children’s store already with all of the young families here. Last May I was faced with the decision of going back to work and being away from my son, again – or finding something else to do that I could earn an income at. I have always wanted my own business, majored in Retailing and Marketing in college, and have extensive back ground in retail, business, and customer service. I just hadn’t found the right business that was both needed and I had an interest in. Finally, I had found it.

Buga-Buga opened its doors on October 21, 2006 offering mid to high end items ranging from nursery furniture, bunk beds, full and twin sized beds, desks, and dressers to room décor, bedding, children’s tables and chairs, diaper bags, car seats, strollers, gifts, and accessories. Now, I can do what I love, provide a much needed service to the community, and bring my son with me to work.
